Normally distance wasn't a problem. In spite of all the time she'd spent with the Winchesters certain aspects of human behavior still escaped her. She didn't understand the concept of personal space and tended to invade it with any and every human around her (including the ones she felt a draw to). Normally, this meant that Cass would practically be on top of the younger man. However, the flare up of dark magic kept Cass at a safe distance. She wanted to be close to him, to touch him, to be with him in every way but her angelic senses wouldn't allow it. Not until he proved himself to not be a threat.
"My name is Castiel. I am an Angel of the Lord." Normally she spoke of what she was with a sense of pride. After everything that had happened within the past couple of years, however, she didn't feel as if she had a right. She was responsible for the deaths of countelss humans, of her brothers and sisters whose only crimes were looking for guidance from the wrong person. She'd very nearly killed every human upon the planet when she freed the Leviathans from Purgatory. There was no way to repent for that. If she'd remained in Purgatory then maybe she would've had a chance to one day be worthy of calling herself an angel.
At the moment she wasn't too worried about her past sins. Holding up her wrist she showed him the bracelet. "It brought me to you when I had concluded my search in defeat. I have been... looking for you, Adam." She said almost breathlessly. There was no threat in her voice or her stance. She didn't reach for a weapon or move to smite him. Instead she stared at him adoringly, blue eyes focused on him and him alone as she took a tentative step forward.
