Charlie had needed a break from cases and equations, to clear his head. Yes, the numbers were always there, but sometimes he needed to focus on other things. The last case had been hard and he just needed to concentrate on something else for a while. He was glad Don had agreed to this. Lately he'd felt less secure about his own ability to defend himself if needed, and that was making him feel nervous about the cases, and therefor his work.

He leaned against the wall while he waited for Don, dressed casually in a t-shirt and sweats. Better for training than his regular clothes. Now he just needed his brother to get here, and they could get started.

Charlie had holed himself up in his work room, trying to work out some mathematical means of getting into their criminal's head. So far, he wasn't having as much luck as he would have liked. He knew it was only a matter of time before he figured it out, but he hated when things took so long. The longer he took the more people could get hurt and the more useless he felt. He knew he was headed in the right direction. He just couldn't figure out what was keeping it from working. He finally looked at the clock and realized it was getting late. Not really wanting to deal with Don dragging him out, he tossed his chalk aside and left the room, more than a little annoyed.

"This is ridiculous," he muttered, flopping down on the couch and running a hand through his hair.

As promised, Don had ventured out of his apartment to grab a pizza and then headed down to the basement lab. Even getting the pizza had been a strange experience - everything here looked exactly like New York and nothing seemed to be terribly out of place, but the fact that he did not remember coming here continued to bother him. He held the box in one hand and set it down on the nearest table once he moved into the basement. Don smirked, reaching over to tap Charlie's shoulder.

He knew that the other man was likely wearing his headphones, so he braced himself for Charlie to be startled. "Hey, Chuck." He crossed his arms over his chest, peering over to the board that Charlie had been working on. Even if he had no idea what was going on with the numbers on the board.
