She hadn't even realised anyone was there, until the man spoke and she found herself feeling like a bit of an idiot. "Oh," she said, "thought I was alone...I mean...didn't see you there." She gave an embarrassed smile. "Bet I sounded a bit ridiculous, didn't I? Not that it's not all true, but it must just sound like I was a complete nutter." She shook her head. "I'm guessing you're new here? I'm Rose."
She looked back up. "But...yeah, I've been up to the stars," she said. "Wait...you said 'as well'? You've been up there too? What are you, then? Not like the Doctor...too American...one of those Time Agency blokes? Like Jack? Never mind...not really important I guess." She shrugged.
"I didn't mean to sound all lofty and important before...just so you know. There was this time...there were these creatures. Daleks. And the Doctor, he's got this ship, the TARDIS...and it was all gonna end...but I looked inside the ship...in her heart...and it filled me up...the Vortex...and I don't really remember what happened...but apparently I destroyed the daleks...brought Jack back to life...did that a bit too well really...I guess I'm sort of complicated, you could say. But not really. Only sometimes."
