He couldn't help smiling softly to himself at the sound of Jack's voice, glad his back was to the other man so that he could keep his reaction to himself. He had, of course, talked to Jack on the telephone while he'd been away, but it was different having him so close. God, he'd missed this. He felt a sort of weight lift, knowing that Jack was really back.
"I should have known you really only came back for my coffee," he teased as he turned to face Jack, rolling his eyes and picking up the mug with Jack's coffee off the counter. "Just how you like it. Black, one sugar, and strong enough to stand on." He remembered things like that.
It was almost overwhelming, being so close to Jack again after so long apart. It was wreaking havoc on his senses. He could smell the 'fifty-first century pheromones' in the air, and Jack's smile was making his stomach do flips. Deciding that coffee could wait, he set it aside and stepped forward to kiss his lover. It really had been too long not to give him a proper greeting.
