Tobias laughed. "I thought you had just said that you were my biggest fan," he pointed out. "And I wouldn't exactly call Margot a fan. She has a vested interest in my continued success. It should worry me that she would go so far as to pick up and follow when I move, but she's a dear girl."
He realised he wasn't exactly being clear and decided to elaborate. "Margot is my publisher," he explained, taking a sip of tea, "though I suppose the title isn't really an appropriate summation of her role in my work. She's practically family now...she and Melinda were always very good friends."
