That was really the only thing Terry could think as the elevator shuddered to a stop and the lights went out, the emergency lights coming on. She didn't like enclosed spaces much to begin with, and being trapped in a small metal box with very little light wasn't her idea of a pleasant evening. In fact, it was just the opposite. She'd been heading back to her flat, hoping to spend a quiet evening with Jamie and now she was stuck here.
"Oh fuck," she said, verbalising her earlier thought. She leaned against the wall, resting her hand on her stomach and sending Jamie a quick message with her phone. She just needed to keep calm. If she didn't, she'd probably start screaming, and that wouldn't do anyone any good. Anyway, she really doubted this could get much worse.
