If most people were to look around apartment 234 tonight, they probably wouldn't notice very much. The living room area was extremely neat, as were the kitchen and dining room. It wasn't magazine neat though. The paw of a stuffed animal stuck out from the end of the couch, the remote is half stuffed into the side of the chair cushion and leaning up against the bookshelf there's a bookbag full of texts and notebooks. There are even car magazines and 'First Reader' books on the coffee table.
The really noticeable bit is in the shower of the master bathroom, if one were allowed in there. Sheets of plastic are duct taped to the walls and doors, almost as if one plans on something very messy happening in there. Which something messy will, but not for another hour or two yet. Plenty of time for Jason to continue trying to get Ella to go to sleep. It's much easier to deal with a full moon if his daughter is oblivious to the world.
