She came to in a cab, easily identifiable by its movement and dim light. She winced as the glare from the LEDs that lit up the meter sent jabs of pain straight into her eyes, burrowing faintly into the warm thing she was leaning against. When she looked up and found it was the cute guy who'd saved her, she didn't care overmuch.
"Your shirt," she mumbled, her tongue dry and suddenly too big for her mouth. She wondered where they were going and squinted against pain as they rounded a corner. She wrapped her arms around his neck and buried her head further into his chest, trying to obliterate any sort of light from getting into her eyes and sending that searing pain down her spine again.
