Kyle had never imagined he would have this chance again. The chance to see Sarah Connor or to meet John when he was young but he was glad for all of it. The one thing he realized as soon as he saw her again was that he still loved Sarah and figured he might as well try. Maybe here he'd have a chance to be with her. He was trying to figure out how to get that across to her when iut had hit him, ask her out on a date. It was something they never got to do. So he put himself out there and to his delight she said yes. He had a bit of money he had gotten from the wallet of the clothes he had stolen. Not like he had a job and he was saving it for something important and to him this was.
He dressed nicely having picked up clothes that weren't dirty and tattered and made sure he showered. He found a nice restaurant that wasn't cheap but wasn't overly expensive so he could take her somewhere nice that wouldn't break him. He currently stood in the living room waiting to let her get ready. There was no rush and he had told her that.
