WHO: Princess Brianne Avery & Princess Cordelia Avery WHAT: Contemplation among the flowers WHERE: The public area of the Palace gardens WHEN: 24th August, Early Friday Afternoon STATUS: Ongoing RATING: Who knows!
More often than not in the last few weeks, Brianne found herself with more time to think than she had ever wanted. Because with time to think came time to worry and to lament everything that seemed to be going wrong in her world. She had tried turning to her cello to play out what she felt, but sitting still had only made her restlessness more apparent, and Apollo had his own method of action to implement, it seemed, something she'd leave him to disclose in his own time. She hadn't wanted to bother him with her worry anymore than she already had, especially when she couldn't currently make much sense of it herself. Bri had managed a visit to St. Mungo's to sit with the wounded and their families, but the effort felt shallow having followed Louisa's own presence, as such things normally did, perhaps more so after being able to visit with Fiona and Liam and not having been able to be who she wanted to with them. There had been too many eyes for familiarity, for anything more than polite interest in the family she had spent a few months working alongside to plan a fundraiser.
So, she gave herself over to her thoughts, letting her mind turn over one idea after another as she wandered through the areas of the palace gardens that were open to the public. She wasn't entirely sure she wanted company, especially when the company she did want was inaccessible to her at present, but perhaps any kind of encounter would be more favourable than being alone with her thoughts. The heat and heady smell of the blooms that coloured the area were enough to begin entertaining ideas that seemed near silly, and Brianne supposed that was a cue to have turned back to retire indoors. But there was a pleasant enough breeze teasing through the gardens, and even the palace in all its grandeur could leave one feeling as through the walls were closing in, with too much time spent within.
