Crazy. This school was fucking crazy. This phrase was beginning to become something of a mantra, Tommy realised as he closed his internet browser for the 13th time in the last hour. He really needed to quit looking at the blogs and commenting left, right and center and actually start his English homework. With the exception of classes, Tommy was spending his breaks and afternoon locking himself in a study room in the library. He wasn't a complete stranger to the library, but even so: this was weird behaviour for him. But then again, this was weird behaviour for everyone else. At least in the library, surrounded by shelves and stacks of books, he didn't have to deal with the onslaught of emotions and obsession and lust that he was picking off everyone inside the cafeteria. Christ. White earphones popped on, blasting out the playlist Genius on iTunes had arranged for him based off an Arctic Monkeys song, he opened up his notes from his last English class to review them and didn't hear the sound of the study room door opening. |
