Breaking and Entering Who: Gambit and Psylocke What: Remy went shopping (in someone else's house). When: Core Date 17.03.2867 - Wednesday Where: Braddock Manor, HFC, Core Warning: TBD
Remy smiled as he strode confidently down the hallway, ducking into rooms as servants passed and sighing only slightly as he waited for the cameras to shift angles so he could pass. It would have been much easier to go in from the outside, avoiding the vast majority of the people on the property, but that was nowhere near as much fun. Hearing approaching footsteps, Remy slipped into the library, blinking in the low light. Magnifique, he thought, waiting until the footsteps in the hall had subsided before tugging the rolling ladder along the shelves. He'd only gotten partway through a novel the last time he'd stopped by, and it was as good a time as any to keep reading it. He climbed the ladder and snagged the book, jumping off of the ladder and landing softly on the floor. There was no telling how long it would take Betsy to actually return home, so finding some kind of quiet entertainment was crucial.
Speaking of... he patted his pocket and frowned. There was one more stop he had to make before he headed up to Betsy's room. He was down to his last cigarette, but he had a feeling that Wisdom could spare a few. Ten minutes later, he was re-locking the door to her quarters behind him, brand new cigarette already in his mouth and waiting to be lit. He sparked it to life as he crossed the room to open the balcony doors (Betsy hated it when he neglected to do that), and before long, he was all set up outside, perched on the railing at the edge of the balcony with his book. Hopefully Betsy would be back before long, but even if she took her time, at least he had a good distraction.
