Rogue nodded, matching Rachel's frown as the girl informed her that she couldn't really get a solid grasp on the other person. "You can't sense them at all, or they're just well shielded?"
She couldn't quite tell if Rachel was upset or not about Rogue deciding to go after the other person on her own, but she didn't care either way. Every time she had to hurt someone, it took a toll. Sometimes she didn't mind it quite as much, but sometimes it made her almost physically ill, and even though Rachel wasn't exactly a saint herself, she was still young. Young and, thanks to that asshole doctor who was raising her, incredibly sheltered. It was fucked up in the first place that all she was being taught was how to kill, and Rogue couldn't in good conscience let her take the lead on possibly murdering someone else.
"If I haven't joined back up, I'll probably need it," she agreed quietly, pausing just outside the door to the file room. "Here we go." She punched in one of the codes she'd lifted from the guard's mind and held the door open, nodding for Rachel to head in first.
