As James slowed and swooped in, Kitty readied herself, waiting until he was over the crashed vessel to jump off. She landed softly on the top of the Leapfrog, steadying herself and listening for signs of life through the cracked hull as Lockheed came to a rest on the warm metal beside her. She couldn't hear any signs of life, but since there appeared to be nothing that suggested imminent danger, not counting the fact that the ship was so hot from re-entry that if she stood there much longer her shoes might melt, she looked up at James. "I'm going in."
She phased through the metal, landing again inside the craft. Life support seemed to be active, and she stepped carefully as the ship bobbed in the water. "Anyone home?"
