Molly rolled her eyes at Chase's response, but managed to keep herself from actually snapping back at him. She wasn't asking to make conversation, she was asking because sometimes it was nice to know whether or not the entire thing you were controlling was about to fall apart in the middle of freaking space. She skimmed the list herself, pulling her eyes away from it only long enough to verify the location of the other ship as a reply came in from Serenity-X. Good. Backup that wasn't half torn apart already. That would be helpful.
"Yes," she finally confirmed, "'Yana's going down." It looked like 'Yana was taking her sweet-ass time, but she was at least heading in that direction. Molly glanced at another screen just in time to see one huge-ass blast heading their way. "Fuck! Incoming!"
There was nothing that could have been done to avoid it entirely, but she managed to angle the ship so that the damage wasn't completely life-ending. Still, the damage list was flashing red, and she knew that they were pretty close to gone themselves now. One more hit could easily tear a hole in the hull. They were getting really fucking close to hitting the planet's atmosphere, and she knew that she'd be able to walk away from a crash on land. The same could not be said for her companions.
"One more and we're dead," she warned, hoping that they'd come to the same conclusion. "We're about a minute from atmo. You should bail out."
