"Illyana's just a kid," Molly added. A kid who definitely carried herself like someone who had seen a lot of shit, but she was still really young - almost five years younger than Molly. It wasn't surprising that she was the way she was, and even though Molly didn't actually know 'Yana's full background, she'd had enough psychology training and common sense to figure out that whatever had happened had really screwed her up. "She's just trying to do the best she can. I don't think any of us would be much better off if we didn't have each other."
"And I don't know how anyone could dislike Wicked," she added, tracing the outline of one of Old Lace's components with her free hand. Maybe, Molly conceded as she took another drag of the cigarette, she was a little bit biased, seeing as though she was closer to Wicked than the other two were, but that didn't change anything. They weren't bad people, really. They had problems, yeah, but it wasn't like the three of them didn't have their fair share of issues too. Still, if Gert was sure she didn't want to be their friends, Molly was fine with stepping in to do it for her. "I can bring it up to Xie E when we see them, if you want."
