IN REMEMBRANCE of this first settlement and with an eye to the future, Victoria Dare (descendent of the leader of the Roanoke Colony), founded The Roanoke Academy of Magic on September 1, 1900 as the first public wizarding school to serve the nation's magical youth. Today's students face challenges their ancestors could never have foreseen, but like the first settlement they must rely on one another to get through the school year, develop their skills, and make it in America.
