joining the intro'd-too-soon club: shay here (my intro for charlie/![[info]](https://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) scalds and amelia/yacks is here) with my third, megan jones. hufflepuff '98, welsh, halfblood. she's from quite a sports-oriented household; megan's aunt is gwenog jones and her mother is a korean muggleborn and chaser for the catapults, currently on the run. unfortunately, megan herself only dreams of such talent and prestige. she's always been an all-around average student, good with plants and potions but she's a mediocre witch. what she LOVES is muggle music, especially hip hop. what she really has going for her is a bright and sunny disposition. cheerful to a fault, she was the person all last year trying to make her friends feel better in a hopeless situation. she stayed out of the DA/carrows stuff as much as possible because she was pretty scared to fight back, but she fought in the battle. also, her mother is well-known as being muggleborn, fled last summer, and was a ~person of interest~ and they don't know if she's captured/dead or simply escaped the country.

Hello! I'm Sam and I know most of you and I'm excited to be playing with everyone again! For those of you I don't know, I can be found at kavalier, though it's been ages since i updated anything in it. Annnd it occurs to me I never posted an actual intro and I think some stuff fell through the cracks during the first couple days, so here it goes.
DEAN THOMAS will be best known to his fellow Gryffindors, Hogwarts class of '98 and the DA. He's a little introverted, difficult to get to know and modest to the extent he'll let others take credit for his work. Those who know him best know he's quietly brave, pragmatic and would do anything for his friends, even if it means putting them before himself. He's been a fugitive since late last summer and having some trouble adjusting to the relative calm after Voldemort's defeat but he's trying to be cautiously optimistic about all of it.
MIRA SHAFIQ (shamira) is a purist from Slytherin '99 with a highly inflated sense of self and a deep love for astronomy. She has a penchant for rule breaking when they're inconvenient for her, but she's enough of a Slytherin to usually avoid being caught. Most people will probably know her for her support of the Carrows during the past year and her distaste for all things muggle. But those closer to her know a spontaneous, friendly version of Mira who they'd never want to play a game with because she's a sore loser and a gloating winner. Needless to say, she's not pleased the Death Eaters lost the war and things will probably go back to how they were before, but she's trying to make the best of it.
Any and all plots welcome! Also, I'm a little rusty at commenting, so if I've missed anything important or anything you think would be of interest to my characters, please let me know!

Oh hi! I guess I posted too soon. It's Lauren again and I expected this to take a lot longer or I'd have just held off on intro-ing Greg. ANYWAY, here is someone your characters are less likely to hate!
Hermione is the last piece of the Trio; you know her from the books. Sidekick to Harry, brightest witch of her generation, killer cat, muggle born... I will spare you the recap. She's the same bossy, meddling, compassionate and loveable Hermione, if not a bit more scarred (literally) and humble. She's just incredibly grateful for everyone who helped. Since the war, Hermione has pretty much been holed up at the Burrow with the rest of the Weasley's. Though she's grieving, she's also making lists and stressing herself out over what needs to get done. I imagine once she feels she can tear herself away, she'll be going into planning mode, and I'm hoping lots of your characters will want to help!

HI this is Mady again. I should've done this a few days ago but finals have been ruining my life and also I've spent too much time raging about terrible showrunners so my mind has been ELSEWHERE anyways this is LIAM SUMMERS, he is Hufflepuff Class of 97, he is MARIETTA EDGECOMBE's husband. A few facts:
- He works in Magical Maintenance
- Super lazy
- Total pushover (especially when it comes to Marietta)
- Lets other people make plans and he follows them
- Didn't participate in the final battle
- Didn't opine about the war or Voldemort or Harry Potter, just did his janitorial business
- Would probably be friendly with everyone because he doesn't know better

Hello everyone! I am Lauren and I know most of you! You can catch me at hallow or on AIM at roarlaurenroar.
I am bringing you one for now, though I have at least one other in the works. This is Gregory Goyle, everyone's favorite oaf. You know him from the books. Greg was a DE supporter who is legitimately flabbergasted that Voldemort didn't blast Harry into infinity. He's pretty torn up about it, since prettymuch all his life he was told that muggleborns were a threat to wizards and that Voldemort was fighting to save wizarding kind. He isn't the brightest bulb in the box and really never questioned a lifetime of being fed that sort of propoganda by his mum and dad (his dad being a now-dead Death Eater... feel free to claim being the person to have killed him in the Battle of Hogwarts!)
Needless to say, he's pretty bummed about how this all turned out and for the first time coming to terms with the idea that he might have been on the wrong side of things. To add insult to injury, he's looking at what could be a bit of Azkaban time for aiding the Death Eaters... plus everyone is pretty peeved at his dad, who isn't here to atone for his mistakes, so Greg is kind of the punching bag for all of that frustration. Basically, the Goyle name is destroyed (lbr, it wasn't that prestigious before).
Personality-wise, Greg isn't much different from the books. He functions best as a lackey for someone with more brains than him, doesn't tend to question others once he trusts them, is lazy but mostly reliable, not the brightest bulb in the box, but he has a big heart for his friends. He knows people think he's dumb, so he has a constant need to prove himself in other ways (usually this involves fists or hexes). He's kind of resigned to the fact that he's not a genius and tends to try and ride the coattails of others to success. Now that he doesn't have his family money and his name is ruined, he's pretty terrified of the future.
For now, I have him on what I imagine is a pseudo probation until his punishment, basically he can't leave the country, his assets are frozen but he's not yet been kicked out of his home and thrown in jail, probably only because his mum is claiming she's innocent in all of this and that he's only a child and didn't know better.
Uhh I am sure he will have plenty of enemies, but I would definitely welcome some people who don't hate him!

HI FRIENDS, this is shay super late to the game bc i was sick this weekend and wanted to finish charlie first. anyways i think i know most of you here? i'm oolong, add me if your heart desires. i have two (so far, working on a megan jones as we speak):
CHARLIE WEASLEY @ this journal (Gryff '91, 25 y/o Order member) is the second-oldest Weasley you know and love. While he's spent the last year in Britain with the Order, Charlie spent the seven years previous in Romania working with his favorite thing in the entire world: dragons. He is all dragons, all the time. Or was, until he got swept up in the war. When the Order re-formed he was kind of a spy/recruiter in Romania, but was still v. removed from everything going on. Now he's seen it firsthand, sadly. :( Charlie is very kind and pretty easygoing - he likes to joke around a lot, sometimes at the expense of his own health (he's got a daredevil streak. See: dragons.) Order people, family, anyone who was in school the same time as him? Come at me.
AMELIA YAXLEY @ yacks (Slytherin '97, 19 y/o DE supporter) is the daughter of notorious inner-circle Death Eater Jasper Yaxley, otherwise known as the installed head of the DMLE during Voldemort's regime. Obviously Amelia was raised purist (not swanky rich purist, middle class at best), but unlike many pureblood children she's never clung to her prejudices, and has grown a lot from her exposure to other views at Hogwarts. Basically, she's still purist in the sense that she supports wizards and is disgusted by muggles, but anyone who can do magic is cool in her book. She tends to keep all this info to herself - she doesn't want to be alienated by the purists or the anti-purists, since she's somewhere in the middle. Amelia's main goal is to be well-liked; not for the sake of her ego, but because she desperately wants to start a political career. Her dad placed her in a position above her experience in the Dept of International Magical Cooperation, and she did some of his dirty work while Voldemort was in power, but now she's been demoted to intern. She's being investigated, but she's more worried for her father, who is in Azkaban and has no plausible deniability for his crimes. :/ Tough break. I would love school friends, frienemies, straight up enemies, a cousin (her mother's family is unnamed if anyone wants to get dat sweet pureblood connection going).

Hi everyone! I'm Dea mortalwombat and I'm late to the party. I'm bringing in three girls and I'd love to figure out plot with all of you!
Viola Macnair here is the daughter of now deceased Death Eater Walden Macnair. She's a '92 Ravenclaw, Pureblood, healer-in-training and Death Eater Supporter. During the war her father imprisoned Gabriel Ollivander and she did her best to help him, other than call for help. Raised purist, she supported the cause if not the methods. She assisted in passing DE messages along during the war and minor tasks and is absolutely terrified of that coming back to bite her. She fully plans on blaming her father for everything. She's compassionate, caring and devious enough to survive. I would LOVE for other society/pureblood friends for her and anything and everything else!
Alicia 'Al' Spinnet (~alspinnet) is a former Gryffindor chaser, muggleborn, DA member, Order supporter and soon to be chaser for the Falcons. She was forced to go on the run once the Muggle Registry was announced, but you can be sure she was still around to give Death Eaters hell. She's loud, in your face and avoids emotions like the plague. She's a hands on sort and would do absolutely anything for her friends. If you can get past her foul mouth, she is as loyal of a friend as you can find.
Fleur Weasley (~quatrevee) You know her from canon! This French import is a current cursebreaker trainee at Gringotts and newlywed. She was part of the Order during the war and there for the final battle. She's working on smoothing out her English and would appreciate your patience. I'd also LOVE to figure out some friends for her.

Hi guys, this is Jillian with three: Cho Chang, Susan Bones, and Tracey Davis.
Cho is full of emotions and she's a hopeless romantic who ships EVERYTHING. She wants to be your friend, too, especially Ravenclaws, DA members, and people who like quidditch. :) She tried to help the Order out doing the war and helped with covert healing of wandless and muggleborns-on-the-run. Maybe she helped someone or their family?
Susan (~suzze) is outgoing, talkative, and usually pretty flippant. She's not that great with emotions, but she tries. She'll be friends with just about anyone, provided they're not on Team Voldemort. She can be a flirt, but it doesn't mean much 9 times out of 10. She was the head of charms club for the past two years and obviously she's a DA member. So, anyone who wants a friend, Susan will be your friend! Oh, and her mum has been on the run for the past year. She has an older sister a year above her, who SUNNI is apping.
Tracey (~tracery) mostly kept her hands clean during the past year, but not because she's a particularly good person. She's a purist and a feminist. She's close to Daphne, Blaise, Melinda, and probably the rest of Slytherin 1998 and 1999. She dislikes Lavender bc gross :|
My availability is a little spotty until exams are over, but I should be around more for RPing when I'm freeeee and not listening to lectures about secured transactions.
