The fact that Oliver let her take charge so easily always managed to settle well with Ana. She didn't mind sitting back and relaxing while he did the difficult tasks, but sometimes the complacency made her irritable. Luckily Oliver knew her well enough to understand sometimes Ana needed to get into the driver's seat, so to say, and he rarely hesitated to allow her that privilege. At the moment she allowed herself to be distracted however. She couldn't hesitate for long considering that would jeopardize the effectiveness of their potion. A few seconds here and there could surely be spared though.
Ana's eyes were redirected to his lips as Oliver bit down into it a bit. Shifting her gaze back to his eyes, she watched as he smoothly adjusted in his seat to glance over at Potter and Ross. Of course she knew he'd look. That was precisely why she told him not to. Ana wouldn't have directed his attention to the spectacle if she thought she'd be the only one enjoying it! Her lips twisted into a knowing smile as he turned his attention back to her and then the potion. His suggestion caused her to huff slightly as if she was skeptical. "Yeah, okay Ollie. And perhaps Cian will someday run out of his secret stash of alcohol," she retorted with a smirk, resting her hand on his shoulder as she peeked around Oliver to glance at Chris once more. She milked the situation for all it was worth of course, almost as if testing her hypothesis to see how accurate it was. Her close proximity to Oliver would have to be driving the boy batty if he truly was interested in her best mate that way.
Her fingers slipped down from his shoulder as Ana straightened up again, glancing back to the textbook before the potion had a chance to settle for too long. "I could be wrong," she finally admitted, though Ana highly doubted it. "If so, why not take advantage of it?" Taunting the boy for his supposed fascination with Oliver would be a worthy pastime indeed!
