The more they kissed, the more his mind began to quiet down and just let him enjoy the moment. Not to say that it was being completely silent. He was still beating himself up for letting this happen. He wondered how much of a huge mistake she thought this was in her mind, and the thought made him almost sad. But then again, that was the way it was supposed to be. But she fired up his senses and gave him a feeling that maybe there was something good out there for him in life. He really did need someone to sit around and not let him get away with all of his bullshit all of the time, not that he would ever admit that either. After all, he liked being the spoiled, asshole, son of a bitch he was. But sometimes people could change right? Maybe even him?
When she pulled away smiling, he was happy that he seemed to be doing something right. I mean after all, girls didn't smile and be all cute when you are a bad kisser. They sort of give you this awkward smile to make you feel better, not that he would know of course. But this look was one of happiness and enjoyment, a match to the look on his place. He closed his eyes still smiling, letting her nuzzle his nose. When she was done he pressed his face into her neck and sighed, enjoying the feeling of having a woman close to him. A woman who wasn't just someone random that didn't matter, but someone who was secretly burrowing a little way under his skin which was comforting.
But then, he heard it. He swore he heard footsteps that stopped within view of them. His body tensed and he took Eveline by the arms and pressed her behind him. He was sure she would be freaking out because of course she couldn't hear what was going on. He turned around and mouthed, "I hear someone, wait here," and gave her a small peck on the forehead before taking out his wand and walking out of their area. He was ready to memory modify anyone he found, but after a few minutes of searching every nook and cranny in the area he came up with nothing. He walked back over to her, slipping his wand back into his pocket and smiling gently.
"Maybe it was just my imagination," he said, trying to comfort her. He really didn't want this to end, but understood she might want to in the sudden scare.
