Eveline knew why she didn't have a boyfriend. First, she was insufferable, what with the seriousness and necessity to achieve. Second, she didn't doubt that news of what a terrible Ex-Girlfriend she was had gotten around. Granted, the latter wasn't really her fault, as infidelity is a punishable offense. As for Andrew, Eveline was living comfortably (sometimes) under the assumption that Andrew must have considered it a conflict of interest to date her; what other reason was there? That being said, Eveline could not have been more happy she didn't have a boyfriend than in that moment. Eddie had never been quite so calm and suave and Andrew wouldn't have time to wait around for her, he had things to do! Dominic, however, had been hoping to see her. Did that count for something?
Eveline barely caught his apology, her eyes opening slowly after he kissed her. She felt breathless, but didn't have very much time to catch it, since he was pinching her arm. "Hey!" she swatted him, continuing to giggle. Eveline didn't think about it very much, but it was a rare day when she laughed. Of all the noises she had to learn, laughter was the difficult to conquer and she never felt as if it had come out properly, and she wasn't all together paranoid. Her laughter was strange and that was when her disability was most noticeable, but she couldn't resist with Dominic. Better yet, she wasn't even thinking of it.
"Okay, okay," she said softly as the laughter died from her voice and he pulled her to him. Eveline looked at him warmly before stretching up to kiss him again, putting her arms around his neck happily. As their lips touched, she let go a very happy, heavy sigh, her eyelids slipping closed. This was dreamy (which was terrible as one part of her brain pointed out, but the remainder ignored). Eveline traced small circles on his back with the tip of her index finger, enjoying their closeness.
