Eveline caught a shadow behind him and her attention snapped too it, her heart thundering with fear. It was nothing, ultimately, but the scare made her weary of staying around him much longer, as much as her body tried to convince her to say. Her body was tingling and over stimulated and she kept adjusting her skirt to keep from fidgeting with her hands.
Seeing his smirk, Eveline's stomach fluttered. His smile was infectious. She continued to straighten her clothing, including her shirt, sliding his hands from just under her chest down as far as she could reach, trying to smooth the rumples. She kept her eyes on his lips, in case he said anything, but all she could think about was how they tasted and what his breath smelled like. It was minty and she could relate it to nothing else apart from him.
He called her Miss Dunstan again and once more her stomach fluttered. However, Eveline was thinking much more clearly. She raised her chin a little in defiance. Now would commence the denial, "Of?" She looked at him with a particularly glint in her eye which said what she refused to, I want more. She looked bashfully back down and couldn't hide her smile. That had been fun. More fun than she had in a long time. She peeked up at him through her hair before straightening back up. "I should escort you back to your common room."
