Dominic's teeth on her lips and the roughness with which he pulled her to him made Eveline shiver with lust and desire. She pressed her entire body against him, as if that might somehow help. Truly, it only made it worse; she wanted him badly and their hips grinding together wasn't making it any easier. Every new thing he did, every touch made a electricity run down her spine. This was unbelievable. Ever since Eddie she had sworn off any idea of connections, but if they existed, this was it. She felt as if their bodies moved in harmony.
Eveline moaned as he pressed into her, biting his shoulder with more force for a moment. She didn't mean to hurt him, but it was her first instinct. She released him immediately, kissing the area apologetically. When he took her hand, Eveline was expecting it to be placed somewhere inappropriate, so when it landed on his heart she was genuinely surprised. Though she felt his heart beating almost instantly, it took her a minute to realize what he was doing. Yes, his heart was pounding, but why did it matter?
As his motives slowly sunk in, Eveline took a moment to look at him, her heart aching. The act was so small and so thoughtful. She couldn't believe it had come from Dominic. Had someone replaced him while her eyes had been closed. She looked into his eyes, her hand still resting on his chest as she felt his heart beat. With her other hand, she took his own and placed it over her heart, which was thundering so loudly she wondered if he could hear it. Their silent communication made her feel close to him, and she looked down at their hands and inched up to kiss him. Only once she thought this was strange; this moment was far too intimate for their circumstances.
