Hearing his laugh, Valerie felt a warm feeling, similar to the feeling of drinking hot chocolate after mucking around in the snow. There was nothing better than knowing you could make your partner laugh. "Absolutely," she said softly before putting her hands on either side of his face and pulling him gently into another kiss. This was fabulous.
Instantly noticing his frown, Valerie matched his uncomfortably. She hadn't said it in order to bring up a whole conversation, but now he was asking. She nibbled her lip. "Well I just mean like, you have a lot of other friends in the house," an allusion Valerie wasn't sure he would catch on to, "and I have my prefect duties, so you don't have to feel obligated to hang out with me all the time, or you know, sit next to me at every meal. It's just, when you want to, you know." She smiled, hoping that was a good enough answer.
