"Oh, okay!" Valerie said in surprise. She was all for more private, but now she couldn't force the idea of him asking her out from her mind. She tried to concentrate on something else, and her hand in his was definitely something to focus on. Her hands were so small, particularly in comparison to his, and she felt warmed by his touch alone. Maybe he just wanted tell her something private? Well, why would he say ask then? Valerie absolutely could not stop thinking about them dating, and she also could not stop grinning.
With her thoughts consuming her, Valerie barely noticed how long they were walking. When they stopped and he dropped her hand, she frowned a little. They weren't even anywhere! Then he opened the door and indicated she should enter, and despite her confusion, she entered with a grin on her face. He was such a gentleman! Truly!
She didn't say anything as he followed her, instead looking around. Valerie rubbed her fingers along a near by table and wrinkled her nose at the dust under her fingers. Meanwhile he pulled a seat for her and Valerie could not disguise her suspicious look. Was he going to ask her to be is his vampire bride or something? This was getting a little strange. Despite this, she sat down and and tucked her hair behind her ear. She alternated between looking at Casey and fiddling with her fingers coyly. "I'm okay," she reassured, smiling at him, "I just like spending time with you."
