Casey was more than relieved when he saw Valerie enter the common room. But as well as relief came fear, an unusual feeling for the Ravenclaw captain. He faced more daunting challenges than this, so why did he feel as though he were about to be sick? It was as though a bludger had hit him in the stomach, causing both breathlessness and nausea in one hit. It was made all the more intense as Valerie hugged him and whispered in his ear before kissing his face, making his cheeks tinge slightly with pink.
Lightly holding onto her hand, Casey smiled down at her before muttering, "Let's get out of here and go somewhere more private." He then turned around and manoeuvred through the common room, weaving around their housemates as quickly as he could until they reached the portrait hole. Exiting into the corridor, Casey let go of a strained breath before peering over his shoulder and making sure he still had a hold on Valerie. He grinned at her briefly before beginning to walk down the corridor, making sure he wasn't dragging her too quickly. The walk seemed to last for an age, Casey not having any particular destination in mind.
They had silently made their way to the fifth floor before Casey realised that they needed to stop at some point. Letting go of Valerie's hand for a moment, Casey opened the nearest door to him and smiled slightly as he happened upon an empty classroom. Pushing the door open and stepping aside to allow Valerie to enter before him, he followed in after and closed the door behind him. The candles in the room instantly ignited and Casey turned to face Valerie with a smile that was becoming more nervous by the second.
"Okay, this is a lot better," he muttered, pulling the nearest chair out for her to sit on. He pulled another one out and set it opposite her so that they could face one another. It was a bit strange, but Casey felt the need to sit or else his knees would have given out. "I hope this is okay for you? Please, take a seat." He followed his own advice and sat down on one of the seats, his eyes never leaving Valerie as she sat down opposite him.
