Who: Eveline Dunstan and James Potter What: Eveline is burnt out When: Sunday, 5:15pm Where: Library Rating: PG Status: Incomplete
It had been ten minutes since Eveline plopped down at a table in the library and she had yet to move. Her elbows rested on the table and her head in her hands as she took several deep breaths. A passing thought suggested that she take a nap right there, in that moment, but the stack of books in front of her said otherwise.
This week had been so stressful, what with Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff breaking into a feud. It hadn't lasted long, but she had given out a fair share of the detention and both houses were short points and she had to break up a real fight between first year girls. Between that, constant rounds, and ten classes, Eveline was contemplating learning to sleep with her eyes open. Not that it would actually work.
There was one upside to being deaf; the library was always silent. And in her tired state, sleeping wouldn't have been too difficult for Eveline, but the nagging of her homework which was due the next day definitely got the better of her. Fine, she thought angrily, and pulled her face up so only her chin rested in her hands. You are pathetic and about as bad as Lena, Eveline thought angrily. The insult cut her deep and she straightened up almost immediately. To even be compared to Lena was a disaster.
She gripped her quill and opened the first book, entirely unaware of her surroundings.
