When Gwen mentioned their friends, James frowned internally just a bit (though nothing could dim the smile on his face). He wondered if they'd been giving Gwen a hard time behind wards. If so, it was a small miracle the pair of them were here at all.
James had to laugh at Gwen's orders. "Yes, dear," he said sweetly. To be honest, James didn't really want to get up. As far as he was concerned, he was perfectly fine with sitting here, holding hands with Gwen, just being together. There was also the slight irrational fear that he had fallen asleep in the armchair and this was all a dream, and if he left the common room he was going to wake up extremely disappointed. As such, even though he said yes, he made no move to get up.
