Gwen offered James a sympathetic smile at his comment on having a phobia. It didn't often storm too much, so she had never guessed that James had been afraid of them. It wasn't something that had ever really been discussed. Now that she knew however, it made sense as to why James had been fidgeting nervously all day. Over the past few days, she had begun to stare at him in return. Whenever he moved to look at her, she turned her head the other way so as to not draw attention to herself. Suffice to say, she had noticed him staring out of the window for most of the day, but hadn't pieced together why. It seemed fairly obvious to her now, of course.
At the mention of the sleeping potion, Gwen gave an offhanded shrug. "Well, it was working," she replied with a sigh, "But I guess it doesn't prevent thunder and lightning from waking you up." Now that she was awake, Gwen wasn't so annoyed. Sure, she had been having trouble drifting off for the past few days. That was mostly her own fault though, her and her subconscious. The reason why she hadn't been sleeping was sat in front of her, but she wasn't inclined to blame James solely for it. Ever since his revelation that he fancied her, she had been thinking about it more and more. It had come as a surprise to her when she felt those feelings being reciprocated. Still not knowing what to do about it, she had given herself time to just consider the possibilities; something which she continued to do, even as she sat in front of James in that moment.
