And though she cannot remember it, Oichi had once considered herself a monster as well-- she'd killed her husband and her brother. She shuffles the chair closer to Mami's own, and tilts her head so her ear touches her own shoulder.
She closes her eyes and hums a moment, thinking about the girl before her. She feels like the building clouds of a storm, pins prickling her skin and so like sadness. Oichi opens her eyes. She does not smile, but her expression is not a frown either.
"You're regretful, aren't you," she murmurs. "Shh. It'll be okay, little one, the sun will shine again... it's okay to shed tears of mourning while it rains..."
