Jennifer was glad to hear John's team wasn't working on the planets with the uprising. The last thing she wanted was for him to get hurt. She understood his job could be dangerous at times, and it was part of the job, but it didn't stop her from worrying. John meant a lot to her - more than he probably knew - and she didn't want to lose him.
Smiling, Jennifer perked an eyebrow. "I'll keep you to that," she said. She looked at the tablet again, and nodded. "That'll be plenty of time. And, I promise to have this translation finished for you later. I'll e-mail it to you before I leave for the night."
Jennifer looked up again, and looked him in the eyes. She wanted nothing more than to lean over the desk, and kiss him. Shifting a little, she remembered the pep talk her mother gave her about being more forward. Jennifer knew she was forward enough when it came to her work, but she was awkward when it came to social situations. Chewing on her bottom lip, Jennifer pondered what she should do for a moment before coming to a decision.
"John...before you go, there's something I need to tell you," she said, hoping she was making the right decision. "My mom told me during my I should be more...forward and honest about things." She took a deep breath. "I think you should know I really like you, John. I mean, really like you."
