With her ham and cheese sandwich, along with a few extra apples for Sammy, Fred followed Carson out of the dining hall. Going out onto the balcony with him, she sat down on a bench, and sat her food beside her. She looked out onto the ocrean for a moment, taking in it's beauty before looking at Carson again.
"I don't mind talking about McKay, and I really think you need to know how he acts...just in case," Fred said before she popped a grape into her mouth, and chewed on it for a moment. "About eleven months ago there was an issue on Atlantis, so a science team came here to get some equipment. Well, McKay made it clear to the entire medical staff that he thought medical doctors weren't real doctors. Then he got a splinter, and came into medical. I really thought he was going to have a stroke. He was high-strung, and screaming like he'd lost a finger. The splinter was removed, and he went back to calling all of us "witch doctors". He's an ego maniac, and drove everyone nuts. I really thought General Landry was going to toss him over the railings a few times."
Shaking her head, Fred took a small bite of her sandwich. "As for how busy medical has been...it's officially summer here so more people are going out and playing since it's warmer on the mainland," she said as she smiled over at him.
There a pause in the conversation so Fred took a few more bites of her sandwich, not realizing how hungry she truly was. She hadn't been able to eat a full breakfast due to being behind on her reports. She also realized she probably looked like a pig so she sat her sandwich down. "But if you ever need any help, don't hesitate to ask me. I studied emergency medicine too," she told him.
Fred didn't want to talk about work, though. She wanted to get to know Carson as a person. After taking a drink of water, she looked at him again. "Do you have a girlfriend back home?" she asked before blushing. She ducked her head and sighed. "Not that it's any of my business."
