There's no kink I won't read. I'm very open-minded. But there are kinks I won't read by certain authors, purely because I know they don't write them in a way that works for me - does that make sense? Like BDSM - there are a couple of authors I just don't 'get' how they write it - all cruelty and mentally abusive without any real respect between parties.
Ah yes, bdcq - my 15 minutes of fame :DDD If anyone had warned me what it was like to suddenly have what felt like everyone looking at you at the same time I might never have posted it. For all the rush of pleasure you feel, there's those nigglingly horrible comments and stuff that go hand in hand, and it's the thing that makes me really sad about fandom. I just want to write about sex - I have no pretensions to be a literary writer ar anything. I like shagging and I like writing shagging. I'm a basic kind of girl. :D I'm glad you enjoyed it. I haven't read it since I wrote it and I have no idea if it still stands up. I still get an average of 2 reviews a week on it though, and I finished the fic over a year and a half ago. It just keeps on giving!
The other stuff I'm less well known for, but has a real following, is the Mudhoney trilogy (about to become a 4 parter). It started out as just nasty, callous and dirty sex, but turned into a relationship over the course of 3 stories. I wrote Mudhoney while nearing the end of bdcq because let's be honest - there's only so much fluffy romance a person can reasonably stomach. Also, I didn't want to only write bdcq-type stuff. God, I remember how it was received! people on my f-list were horrified! But that said, once I got on a roll of sex as redemption, then things just went mad with those stories. I'm dead proud of them, even for their niggling faults. The were the hardest fics to write, but ultimately the most satisfying. I'd possibly recommend those to you out of anything I've written. Steer clear of my oldest stuff!
