This is hot and heartbreaking. I love that the sex, as delicious as it is, isn't the focal point of the story. This is really almost a character study, a quick dive into the mind of a Death Eater whom we so rarely see as human. The allusions to Lucius's family were brilliant, especially because no one ever thinks about the reasons why he is the way he is; he and Narcissa are usually passed over during character analyzes.
"Even love isn't enough, in the world they've made." made me want to cry. ;-;
I'm glad I read this even though I don't ship this, because the depth in it makes it so much more than porn.
