Irene sat quietly while Deirdre spoke, letting her get out whatever she needed to say. Honestly, Irene didn't need any explanations for anything but it seemed like the human woman wanted to give them as so she let her. When planning this meeting, the vampire had anticipated it being very short and straight forward, that she'd get either a yes or a no and they would move on. In a way she liked that it wasn't going that way. She liked that Deirdre didn't seem to make hasty decisions. At least, she wasn't about this.
When it was her turn to speak again Irene smiled and said, "It almost seems to me as if you're trying to convince me that you can do the job. Except I'm already sold. So if you need time to think about it then by all means do so but you don't need to convince me of anything. The job is yours if you want to take it."
