Irene was currently in her brand new room getting things unpacked and organized. It was a simple job considering the only possessions she owned were the ones she could fit in a single duffel. This pretty much amounted to clothing and other survival must-haves on the road. It hadn't seemed like so little until it had been spread out in the much too big suite that Isaac had given her to live in. She'd told him that she was perfectly happy with any small room that contained a bed and a bathroom but he had insisted and so here she was. Besides the fact that Irene thought it was too much, it really was a lovely room. The main door opened directly into the living room that doubled as an office. It had a large, classy looking oak desk off to the side with a chair for her and two chairs in front for guests. The rest of the room was much more casual with an overstuffed couch and two matching chairs situated in front of a simple fireplace. She immediately found the room very cozy and was just as pleased with the bedroom which was in an adjacent room through double doors. She had almost asked Isaac if he had decorated it just for her but she would have been happy with anything and so only a thank you was given to her maker.
Dark eyes caught sight of the time on the bedside clock and the vampire realized it was just about time with her meeting with Ms. Prewett. Irene's first order of business as second-in-command, Isaac had told her, was to form herself a small team of guards. This was only a problem because Irene was so new to the territory that she had literally only become familiar with a handful of people in the time she had been there. The gathering of everyone at her announcement had helped but with so many faces and names...it would take Irene time to sort everyone out. However, she had promised herself to get to know every single face in the territory. Every person deserved her respect and if she was going to protect them then she was determined to know them. These thoughts were interrupted by a knock on her door. A guard poked his head in and informed her that Deirdre was there for her to see. She had a smile for him as she told him to send the human in and she had a similar, just as warm, smile for Deirdre when she was shown in.
"Ms. Prewett." She greeted, stepping forward and offering her hand to shake. "Thank you for coming to see me. Please make yourself comfortable." She gestured for Deirdre to sit on the couch, "I'd offer you something to drink but I'm afraid I'm still getting settled in and so the place is bare." She laughed a bit, finding herself a seat in one of the adjacent chairs.
