Daniel hadn't had quite as productive of a day. Of course, compared to Sean, he never really did. Daniel preferred to stay in as much as possible and was most often found up in the apartment if not tucked into a quiet corner of the bookstore while Sean was working. Today was especially lazy as Mr. Holt had fed on him the night before and so the dreamwalker was feeling the familiar lethargy that came with blood loss. It was a comfortable feeling for him, reassuring almost although it was a hard feeling to explain to most people. For him the feeling of being fed on was equal to the feeling of being protected.
He'd taken a nap after lunch while Sean was down playing music with Kerry and he was now sitting on the couch reading from a book that he had borrowed from Isaac's library. It was a novel in the vampire's native language of Swedish. Daniel had never really been trained in the language but he had been fluent in Norwegian with his former master Haakan. The two languages were similar enough that the gifted boy was finding it rather easy to switch and it was also a good exercise for him.
Sean's question brought him out of his concentration and dark eyes lifted over the top of the book. He looked wary at first, eyeballing the polish in Sean's hand and then switching to excited look his boyfriend was giving him. An indulgent smile appeared on his face as the book was lowered and he nodded, "Ok." Was all he responded, setting the novel aside and then reaching to pull his socks off so Sean could get to his toes.
