CHARACTERS: Davis Drew & Riley Cooper
DATE & TIME: Earlier today.
LOCATION: A restroom at Prestige HQ.
RATING: Sauciness and implied sexual content.
SUMMARY: A pre-migraine break turns into a very good distraction.

The fluorescent lights were murder on Riley's brain, in that space right behind his eyes. He could have found an empty meeting room to flick off the lights and lay on the carpeted floor where no eyes could spy him, and it wouldn't be the first time one of his coworkers had found him like that — the hilarity that had brought in some cases, classic — but the men's room took less effort to get to from his desk, and he needed the cool sensation of the sink counter beneath his palms, the water at his temples, swept through his hair.

He wished he could crack open his head like a coconut and scoop out the insides. Brief reprieves in the restrooms and empty rooms and out with the rest of the smokers crew who knew to expect him without a cigarette in hand were all he could manage in the workplace.

Riley exhaled slowly and bore more weight down into the counter.

It was going to be another fucking long day.

Davis honestly was just trying to go to the bathroom. And he was even polite enough to actually use the door instead of just going under the door. He wasn't exactly expecting to walk in on someone splayed over the sink. Granted it wasn't the first time, though it was the first time in this particular bathroom. It was cleaner than the ones he usually saw people in this state in.

And a somewhat familiar blonde head pressed to the cool sink.

"Hangover?" He asked, voice a quiet rumble.

"Not today," Riley's voice vibrated along the metal of the sink basin. Thankfully, these ones weren't motion sensored. He leaned up fully, caught Davis' eyes in the mirror. Unlike the Saturday night version that Davis had first met, work Riley was a little more polished, a red tie circling the collar of his rolled up dress shirt. "Fancy meeting you here."

"Almost like I work here." Davis commented lightly, eyes flickering to the mirror to catch Riley's. There wasn't much he could do even if it was a hangover. "Need something smuggled in for that?" He nodded towards Riley. "Or you got it covered?"

A noncommittal hum came out of the blonde as he shuffled to boost himself up onto the counter. Better than standing. He threw a smile over. "You got a hammer hiding in those pants of yours?"

"Just the one you've already seen." Davis shrugged easily with a quirk of amusement. "Don't think it'd be super helpful right now though."

The smile twitched higher. "If I thought nailing me unconscious was an option, I'd ask. Did you come up to my neck of the woods for the nice bathrooms? I'd know if you worked in Accounting or Legal."

"I could change my dick molecules to knock you out. That is weirdly and specifically in my wheelhouse." Davis pointed out maybe a bit too helpfully. "And I've still transition paperwork for legal that I'm working through. And the bathrooms are nicer."

Riley's expression was amused. "Hold on, back up. You can do what?"

Davis was genuinely surprised at the question, though maybe he shouldn't be. Even though his father's powers were world famous at this point, gas had always been John's weakpoint. "I turn into other things. Mostly gasses."

Matter manipulation, like Captain Regulator. It made sense; it was known for parents to pass down similar powers, though Riley couldn't speak for himself — family power similarities stopped at Clark. Not especially wanting to think about his brother, he leaned back against the mirror. "I've just never heard the words 'dick molecules' come out of anyone's mouth in that word order."

"You're welcome for brightening your shitty day." He deadpanned, motioning towards Riley. "Want to be left to your suffering in peace?"

"I'm the one distracting you, aren't I?" The blonde tipped his head gently toward the urinals along the walls. "Unless you've got performance issues, but you did pretty well on Saturday."

It was a bait but Davis knew it. But he had come to the bathroom to actually use it. So why the fuck not. "I will make note to not be polite in the future." He called from down the row.

"Please don't," Riley challenged back. He wasn't about to watch, though, for all the teasing, and ran the tap next to him as cold as it could get. If he couldn't will the growing migraine away, he could distract his nerves with extreme cold. He dipped his left hand under and winced when the water hit his skin. Distractions, distractions — that was all he could fucking do.

"No need to beg." Davis commented lightly as he finished up, going to wash his hands. He let the silence sit for a bit as the other man went on cooling himself. It didn't take too long before that sink went off, leaving another stretch of silence broken only by the water dripping from Riley's fingers.

He ran those wet fingers through his no longer meticulously swept hair. "And no, I don't want to be left to my suffering." Riley's voice was an echo. "My misery doesn't always like company, but I could make an exception for your adorable hair."

"Just my hair?" He mused softly as he cocked his head to look over towards Riley.

"I should double check the hammer in your pants to see if it's the one I need." The mirror thunked with weight being pressed into it again. A sly smile followed. "I'll have to be real thorough, just in case."

There was occasionally an alarm bell in Davis' head telling him that he was probably about to do something stupid. For the most part though it seemed to be faulty through the manufacturer.

He generally ignored it even when it did work.

Instead he wiped his hands, paper towel tossed before stepping around in front of Riley, hands going to either side of the counter. "I am here to help." His voice rumbled low in his throat.

Riley's splayed legs moved to encase Davis' hips between them, and he drew upright, all tempting smiles and slow, wandering hands. "The door locks," he pointed out when he was close enough to smell the cigarette smoke off Davis. "In case that's a concern for you."

His eyes tipped up in thought because really, it wasn't. But that little alarm bell did remind him that he was in relatively warm water already with the higher ups.

He dissolved into smoke, solidifying only long enough for there to be the click of the lock. When his body reassembled back between Riley's thighs, his hands had found them far warmer than the metal of the sink. "Good to know." He leaned in to catch that smirking mouth in a kiss.
