The trip back to Os Alta was slightly more somber, the Grisha all ashamed of how quickly they had turned on their father figure. And perhaps a little fearful of what the fall out might be.

It made sense, of course, that the new Tsar would be under so much protection after his family's untimely demise. And plans for the wedding continued. Not as grand as the former Tsaritsa would have liked but more than enough for Alina's taste.
Aleksander had insisted that she begin training with him given her new Amplifier, and they met most afternoons.
