“My lips are sealed,” Alina promised, smiling as she pushed herself up, giving Fedyor a quick hug. “I’ll be extra careful, I promise. And I’ll be back for dinnr. You have my word.” She’d get back in enough time to wash up, too. Fedyor couldn’t be suspicious of anything she did. Not when she and Nikolai were treading on such dangerous ground.
And with that she dashed out of the dining hall, racing toward the stables. She actually was looking forward to the ride. And to spending time with Nikolai once more.
