Elena had all but twisted Rose’s arm in order to get the vampire to agree to take her to Richmond. She had a plan, though. Because while Damon and Stefan were occupied trying to get the moonstone out of the tomb, and out of Katherine’s grasp, shew as going to nip this problem in the bud. Katherine had lied to her, had lied to everyone previously but somehow Elena didn’t think she was lying about what had happened. And if Klaus had killed her entire family for running from him in 1492....well Elena certainly couldn’t let that happen to everyone she loved. Jeremy and Jenna and everyone else in Mystic Falls had been through more than enough without having to fear that.
So ehs’d sent a message. The doppelganger was willing to hand herself over. It was only a matter of time before two vampires came to collect her. It made a certain amount of sense, she supposed. Klaus was secretive, paranoid...he wouldn’t just come out into the open. Even for his long-awaited doppelgänger. But she had expected their meeting to happen faster than it actually did.
The vampires had rented a hotel suite, giving Elena one of the bedrooms. It was at least a day before that meeting, though. A day spent comfortably enough. Or it would have been comfortable if Elena had been able to relax. She was on tenterhooks from the moment she’d left Rose behind, unable to eat or even sleep very much. By the time the door opened she completely on edge, standing to warily study the man in the doorway.
“Klaus?” She questioned softly. It had to be, who else would it be, really? “I’m surrendering myself to you. On the condition that none of my friends or family are harmed. I am ready to be....I’m ready for the sacrifice.”
