Who: Aberforth and Emmeline What: Things and stuff, stuff and things Where: The barn with the goats that Emmeline has claimed as her own When: Backdated to around when she got out of the hospital so let's say Tuesday Rating: I unno.
Emmeline had been miserable in the hospital, mostly because she hated hospitals. But going back to her hut with it's lack of doors and any kind of feature that would make her feel the slightest bit safe? That just wasn't happening. So without much hesitation, she gathered up her blankets, pillow, and a few other things in her bag before informing Aberforth she was staying in the barn for a while. Aberforth. Part of her still couldn't believe that he was still around, but she was more than thankful for it being the case. She would be lying if she said she wasn't completely taken with him, and the way he had stayed with her throughout her entire hospital stay? The worry on his face? It both touched and tore at her to know she caused such grief, and all she wanted to was fix it. Hell, she wanted to do a lot of things for him, hell, she wanted to do everything for him, but currently her state just wouldn't allow it.
So once at the barn, it didn't take incredibly long to set up a makeshift bed in the corner of a large amount of hay and her blankets to keep it from being too itchy. It was actually almost more comfortable than her damn cot, and since she hadn't been completely healed yet, just the little bit of movement and exertion had her completely exhausted. And though she probably should have eaten something, her appetite was still pretty nil, and instead curled up in the far corner on top of her blankets, telling Abe that she would be alright for a while if he needed to leave.
Honestly, she had no idea if he did or not, because she fell into a shallow sleep for quite a while thereafter. But to say it was completely restful would be a lie. Flashbacks of her attack back in the real world had been bad enough, but now she had giant, flesh eating, poisonous spiders to add to her memory banks, and dreams were not kind to Emmeline Vance. So eventually, her serene, restful sleep turned into a small fit of whispers and tossing before finally gasping and opening her eyes.
Sitting up with a start, she winced as she stretched out, looking down at the healing bandage on her arm where the wound was slowly healing from her spider bite. The anti venom had saved her, but the healing process was a bit more slow because of it all. At least they had managed to mend her bones.
Emmeline realized it was almost dark then though, and shadows were creeping in. And though her mind was most certainly just playing tricks on her, she heard the familiar sounds of clicking and creaking that terrified her to no end now, and her breath seized up in her chest. "Abe?" she called out, though her voice was hoarse, almost quiet, and she pulled her legs up to her body making herself as small as possible, hoping he was here and not back at his hut. Because she was selfish like that.
