Demelza thought for a moment on the topic of parties, a sly grin coming across her face. “Do you think if we had a house party on that island, that Ernie might chill out a little if we pushed him in the cupboard for someone for 7 minutes? I mean he always seems so bloody stressed, it might do him a bit of good” she paused for a moment as she thought more about it. “I mean, you would think that being one of the only single straight guys on the island with a real bed, that he would not have any issues”
When Justin started hinting that Delphine that might be some sort of voyeur, she couldn’t help but scrunch up her face. “No I did not, not until you brought that up anyway. Cheers for the mental image though, just hope for your sake I do not think about that next time you are trying to get your leg over Mr” she said while playfully poking him in the ribs. “Exactly. You do realise though that if we got a shack, that we would not be able to just spend all day in bed, right? I am pretty sure that Delphine will probably take it back off us quite quickly if we stop turning up to work” she laughed.
When Justin started speaking about a topic that was obviously very painful for him, she gently took his hand in hers to reassure him. “You have listened to me whine about my ex-boyfriend a lot, the least I can do is listen to you” When she said that she did not judge him for how he was, she genuinely meant it. People could not choose who they fell for, sometimes it would just happen, regardless of whether the person doing the falling wanted to or not. “I can only imagine how hard it must have been, to open yourself up to someone in such a way for it to end the way it did. I mean, was it him that made the first move on you?” While she knew she had to be cautious to not push him too hard on details, it had done her the world of good to talk about her relationship with Jamie, so she hoped it would have the same effect with Justin. “I would also like to add, that I am personally very glad that it has not put you off relationships”
