Who: Ted and Andromeda When: Wednesday late afternoon Where: Outside Hut #11 What: Reunion time! Ted sees his Sun and Stars wife!
For three months, Ted's life had felt like it was about waiting. Waiting for things to come to a head, waiting to hear some sort of news, any news about what was going on. Waiting to see his family again. Waiting to see if he lived or died. So what was one more moment of waiting, he thought. At least this sort of waiting was for something that didn't feel like another weight placed on his chest. In fact, even though it was still there, Ted could already feel that weight shifting and getting ready to be lifted.
Stay right there, Andromeda had said. And so stay he did. For the most part, at any rate. Ted did poke around the hut and his immediate surroundings, interspersed with the time that he spent fascinated with the journal that connected him to other people. Even in his forties, magic never really ceased to amaze him.
Overdressed for the occasion or, rather, overcharmed for it, Ted took off his shoes and chucked them off to the side, followed quickly by one sock and then the other. He frowned briefly, trying to recall where his wand had been placed so that he could undo the heating charm on the jumper he wore. But instead of bothering with it, Ted merely rolled up his sleeves and plopped unceremoniously onto the sand. His toes squished through it, a peculiar feeling, as he took the situation into consideration. While he was beginning to increasingly not care about the why's and how's of his situation, there was a part of his brain that was attempting to figure it all out. The first, and easiest, logical conclusion was that he was dreaming. It wasn't a terrible dream in the slightest, though strange that his subconscious would think to add the youngest Black daughter, and also strange that his subconscious decided that playing with the future was just as easy as bringing back faces from the past. But the idea was trite, easy..too easy. What else, what else? Were there any sort of spells that could induce such hallucinations?
Ted kept himself busy contemplating these things even as he became more and more marveled at the different handwritings that popped up. Molly Weasley was somewhere here as well. But all of that marveling was put on hold when he heard footsteps coming up. He looked up, eyes squinting in the sun, and took a deep breath.
