If he was being honest with himself, Louis wasn't dealing with the Island all that well. Everyone else had seemed to accept that they were stuck here until such a time that Delphine felt she wanted to send them back. They all got up and went to their jobs. Hell, some of them were starting relationships as though this wasn't a reality that changed daily. People disappeared all the time. Hell, one minute his mother was here and the next she wasn't. Who wanted to start something with that hanging over your head? It just wasn't his idea of a good time.
He missed his life back home. He had a purpose there. What the bloody hell was his purpose here, stuck in this place? He didn't even have a piano to hash out his frustrations. All he could do was sit around stewing about them, which was basically what he was doing. With the water spraying in on the North side of the hut, he'd found a relatively dry place at the south exist to sit and watch the storm rage outside. It was an impressive storm, lightening flashed regularly, the thunder often sounded like it was right beside them, and the wind whipped through the huts with little concern for anything that wasn't too heavy to be blown about.
He sat there for awhile before he noticed movement from the corner of his eye. Turning his head, he realized there was some crazy fool out braving the storm. Calling out to them, he frowned when the thunder drowned him out. He really didn't know why he was offering, but regardless, he waited for the next clap of thunder to sound before he lifted fingers to his lips and whistled sharply, waving the fool over when he'd caught their attention.
