"Yeah, but..." Honestly, Steve felt guilty charging her. They had saved each other's lives more than once in the field and she had chosen his side in the Accords and gone to prison because of him. He was still a little pissed off each time he remembered how they had secured her in a straight jacket.
He huffed out a breath. "Look, how about instead of buying it you donate the money to the Pratt Institute?" Every painting Steve sold over the weekend was going to the institute anyway because he really didn't need the money and they had been really good to him. They made him feel welcomed and only for his talent, not his reputation. "And I can bring it by your place when the show is over?"
That seemed reasonable and didn't leave a bad taste in his mouth charging a friend for art she could have if she just asked. He imagined it would annoy Tony and possibly make Bucky roll his eyes.
