Steve brought the pizzas over and set them down on the table. He dragged a chair over, sat down and flipped the boxes open. He had gotten one veggie, one classic pepperoni and a cheese. Since Tony already had a drink Steve only opened one beer for himself, twisting the cap off with his bare hand.
"I've been wondering this for awhile," he said as he picked up a slice of pepperoni. "What did you do with the shield?"
He hoped it was safe, locked up somewhere. Steve knew it wasn't his anymore but he really didn't want it in the hands of someone else, someone he didn't pick. It had been with him so long that he was unreasonably attached. Even now he missed the weight of it on his back and at his side.
