Meeting with Tony was a double edged sword. They needed to talk about what happened and see if they could come to an understanding. If that didn't happen this could be the real end of their friendship. Steve didn't want that. He really didn't.
He got three large pizzas because he could still eat a huge amount and a standard six pack of a microbrew he liked. If he was meeting with anyone else it would really be a pleasant evening but there was tension across his shoulders and an uneasy feeling in his gut.
The doors to the Tower opened without a problem, so did the elevator. Steve was a little surprised. He expected to be locked out for security reasons. He had come really close to beating Tony to death back in Siberia. He should be locked out. It was actually a really good sign that Tony was willing to let him in. This might not end up in an argument after all.
"Hi Tony," he said when he stepped off the elevator. He held the pizzas up. "I hope you're hungry."
