Astoria was very aware of the cold. And she hated it. She had her chin tucked into her scarf, grateful for the warmth it provided. Some earmuffs would have been nice as well, although that might have been going a bit overboard.
She was slightly frustrated by the boy walking in front of her who seemed too engrossed in his book to walk any faster. She did nothing about it, however, except walk uncomfortably close behind him. Close enough to feel a small, cold splash of water that bounced off him. She jumped back in shock, eyes following Peeve's voice just in time to see a colorful balloon flying straight towards her.
