"That we are." Ernie said with a shrug. He picked up a near by stone and tossed it over the water, watching it skip across the surface. "I have no idea either. I don't want to marry you. No offense, I'm sure you're a charming young lady and all, and you're cute enough, I just... I don't know you or love you at all. But, at the same time, I don't want to loose my family over not marrying you."
He sighed, "What about you? How much do you have riding on this little wager between out parents?" It seemed strange to him that neither of his brothers where doomed to arranged marriages, though that might have something to do with their fathers frequent questioning of Ernie's sexuality, not that he was about to share any of that.
